Surrendering to Temptation

Summary: In the kitchen.

Notes: Thanks to Jen, Dot, Meg and Pete'n'Melissa. More of a drabble and a half, weighing in at 150 words. Written for the X-Men 100 LJ community.

Date: April 10, 2003

It was after midnight when Jean slipped from the bed. She checked to make sure Scott was sound asleep. She didn't want him to know about her weakness.

She'd been unable to get to sleep herself. Not with temptation so close. She'd been aching for it for days, weeks, possibly months. She couldn't hold out any longer.

She went down to the kitchen as if in a trance, lulled by the siren song of desire. She was finally surrendering to the promise of ecstasy.

The kitchen was dark, but she knew she'd find what she was aching for. She'd paid close attention at dinner to the signals.

A brief flick with her mind and all was prepared -- ice cream and whipped cream melted against warm, spicy flesh. She gave herself over to sensation, and let go of guilt, gleefully finishing the apple pie the cook had made for dessert.
