Summary: Sidenote in the RR, in which there is soup and interesting happenings. Not necessarily in the storyline, based off of Minisinoo's "He Always Wore Glasses; She Always Wore Gloves."

Date: September 24, 2001

Walking into the lunch room and away from the crowded hall, Scott got his food and found Marie waiting for him in their spot. Looking up, Marie smiled at Scott, a smile that made his knees go weak.

'Now or never, Summers,' Scott thought to himself. "Marie I have something I want to ask you."

"What is it, sugar?" she asked with a nervous smile, thinking she knew what the question might be.

"Marie will you..."

"Miss Rogue, can I ask you a question about the homework?" Sighing in their thoughts, both Rogue and Scott turned to face the student who interrupted their lunch.

"Can we talk about it after lunch, Hon?"

"Oh. Sorry. No problem, Miss Rogue," the student said with a sheepish smile as he backtracked away from the table.

"What where you saying, Scott?"

Fiddling with the ring in his hands, Scott rested his elbows on the table and began to lean his hands towards hers. "I was saying..."

*plop*

"Oh God," Scott muttered to himself. He couldn't believe he dropped the ring in Marie's soup. Nothing says romance like cream of broccoli soup.

"Well?" Marie prodded.

"Oh, nothing important right now. Just eat your soup before it gets cold, okay?"

"Oookay. Sure," Marie said as she stared at Scott like he just grew a second head.

A few minutes later...

"Ow. I don't think cream of broccoli soup is s'posed to be crunchy," Marie muttered as she spit something out into her napkin.

"What did you bite into? Anything good?" Scott asked, stressing the word 'good.'

Looking into her napkin, Marie almost fainted. "Oh God," she said in a harsh whisper.

"Is that a good 'oh god' or a bad one?" Scott asked with a small smile.

"Oh, that was *so* a good 'oh god,'" Marie said happily as she crushed herself into Scott's form.
