Dean stared forlornly at the small television his parents had given him. He'd tried everything, but just as Hermione said, there was too much magic around Hogwarts for the television to work. All he picked up was static.

He had one last shot to make it work.

He'd spent his first week back at school ensconced in the library, and finally found a spell that would do the trick.

"Serratura scanalatura," he said, tapping the Sony with his wand.

The television flickered to life and he whooped. He wasn't going to miss the season premiere of Melrose Place after all.

A/N: The spell is Italian - 'lock channel'. And the '95 premiere was the one where Kimberly blew up the apartment building. I think. And yes, I had to look it up. I have no idea if it aired in England at the same time as in the US, but let's pretend, all right?
