Date: July 8, 2005

Han had tuned her out after the second round of, "Is this ship held together with rubber bands?"

He was pretty sure she didn't mean it, but still, it didn't matter how much he enjoyed sparring with -- and kissing -- her. If he listened, he'd have to respond, because nobody was allowed to insult the Falcon like that, not even Her Worshipfulness, and if he responded, they would fight, and it was possible she wouldn't keep kissing him if he pissed her off too severely.

So not listening was his best bet.

Except she just never stopped talking. He wondered what kind of energy bars she'd been eating, because she'd been going non-stop for the last twenty minutes as he tried to tune her out and make the somewhat more than minor repairs necessary to get the ship back in the air.

"You don't have the faintest idea what you're doing! This old hunk of junk couldn't get us to the next town let alone--"

Not even stopping to put the wrench down, he turned and grabbed her by the shoulders. She tipped her head back in surprise, eyes widening as he sealed his lips over hers, tongue thrusting inside her mouth to speak a softer, more intimate language, one of teasing and pleasure instead of constant carping.

When he was finished, she looked up at him, eyes hazy with desire and said, "Oh."

He smirked. "Yeah. There's more where that came from if you just shut up for five minutes and let me finish what I'm doing here."

She drew a breath and his heart stopped for a moment -- had he overplayed his hand? -- but she just nodded, starry-eyed and handed him the screwdriver he thought he'd lost back on Hoth.

His smirk widened into a grin. He still had it.
