Oliver Wood has his share of fans. He actually finds them irritating, because while they claim they want to talk Quidditch with him, what they actually want is to snog under the stands or in the showers or any other damn uncomfortable yet private place they can find, and in a castle the size of Hogwarts, those places are surprisingly few.

Oliver's been to them all, with various people, over the years.

But Percy, who has been sleeping one bed over all this time, has never given any indication that he's interested in more than Quidditch when he asks Oliver about next week's game or if he's really tried a starfish and stick in practice.

Oliver likes Percy. He's not as much fun as the twins, and he'll never be as spectacular at Quidditch as Charlie, but he has his own sly, dry sense of humor and Oliver appreciates that.

So it comes as a surprise the morning Percy leans over and kisses him. Percy kisses the way he does everything else -- with precision and focus, his tongue licking at Oliver's lips, which part in surprise under this unexpected (but not unwelcome, he finds to his own surprise) assault.

Percy tastes of mint, because of course he would brush his teeth before launching a surprise kissing attack on one of his dorm mates. Oliver can actually hear him saying, "It's the polite thing to do," and it makes him huff a laugh into Percy's warm mouth.

He brings a hand up to cradle Percy's face as Percy's hands slide along his shoulders and up into his hair, and Oliver thinks things are going well, considering that five minutes ago he never would have expected to be snogging Percy Weasley.

They break apart only at the sound of wings, and before Oliver has a chance to say anything, Percy grabs Hermes and runs off, face scarlet and lips swollen.

Oliver sighs and begins planning his counterattack, because he's not satisfied with how things ended. It's a good thing he's excellent at strategy.
