Rating: G

Christmas at the Lupins' was a raucous affair, twin boys whooping as they opened gifts and gorged on sweets.
This year is different. The house is quiet, wreathed in mourning -- one son dead, one cursed.
Remus doesn't understand, but he knows it's his fault. He still aches from his first change, terrified of the night, even though Mum's explained it will only happen when the moon is full.
For years afterward, Remus has only two Christmas wishes -- for Romulus to live, and for an end to his moonlit agony. Every year he's disappointed; he finally stops wishing altogether.
