Summary: Éomer says goodbye to Éowyn.

Date: January 14, 2005

Exiled for keeping faith, Éomer burns with anger, with loss. Éowyn, pale as dawn and strong as steel, draws him into the circle of her arms, cool, honeysweet lips pressed to his cheek, temple, jaw. He closes his eyes, breathing her in.

"Take care, Éomer, and come back to me," she murmurs, her warm breath sliding over his ear making him shiver.

"Always." He turns into her kiss, fierce and hungry, once again taking comfort from the strength of their love.

As he rides away, the taste of Éowyn lingers on his tongue. It is all he needs to live.
