Date: October 4, 2003

The flashing lights and sirens trailed him for miles before Sirius finally pulled the bike over.

He cursed under his breath. Police. Just what he needed.

"Do you know how fast you were going?" the policeman asked, mirrored shades glinting in the sunlight.

"Um--"

"Ninety. Speed limit's thirty. License and registration, please."

"Um--"

He'd never taken Muggle Studies, knew even less about America than most Englishmen. He didn't even have a license.

"Don't make this difficult, son."

"Not at all," Sirius said grandly. He didn't care what Moony said about being inconspicuous, next time, he was flying. "Obliviate."
