Summary: The lawyer Lilly's father is meeting with isn't the usual run of corporate suit.

Notes: Yes, I know that's not the correct spelling of Jezebel, but that's how Lancome spells it on the lipstick tube. Written for fox1013, requested by pearl-o.

Date: July 7, 2005

Lilly walks into the conference room, hips swinging. The lawyer her father is meeting with isn't the usual run of corporate suit, and Lilly is intrigued in a way she hasn't been before.

"My father is running late," she says, holding out a hand and smiling brightly, "but I can get you something to drink. Coffee, tea..."

The woman -- Lilah Morgan, according to her father's admin -- takes her hand, but doesn't shake it. She rubs circles with her thumb over the back of Lilly's hand, and Lilly shivers.

"You?"

Lilly drops her gaze, looks up through lowered lashes, quite the innocent coquette. "If you like."

Lilah moves with loose-limbed, angular grace, stepping into Lilly's personal space, her other hand tipping Lilly's chin up.

"Oh, I like," she says.

Her lips are cool and soft, her tongue hot and rough in Lilly's mouth, drinking her in. It's over before Lilly has a chance to do more than gasp.

Lilah steps back and smiles; she reminds Lilly of a shark -- all sharp edges and bottomless hunger.

The door opens and Jake Kane enters, looking harried. "Lilly," he says, stopping to kiss her cheek. "What a nice surprise. Lilah, sorry I'm late. The programmers--"

"I understand," Lilah says as they shake hands.

Lilly slips from the room. When she licks her lips, she can still taste Lilah's expensive lipstick and when she looks in the mirror, she sees traces of it, like a secret, on her mouth.
