Consanguinity Timeline

Just random notes on the timeline, so the story works, sort of.

John Howlett - 1885-1897; Yukon gold rush - 1896-1899

James is 12, Rose 13 when they hit the Yukon?

According to Origin #2: the headstone for John Howlett - James's [Logan's] older brother - reads 1885-1897;

When Rose takes James up north in #3, she says, "Most men have gone further north to the Yukon territory, where gold has been found."

Yukon gold rush - 1896-1899

Rose says she's 12 in #1, and then "a few years have passed" at the beginning of #2. I'm thinking she's a year older than James.

It's a tight squeeze, since in 1899, all the gold miners apparently rushed away from the Yukon and to Alaska, but we can fudge that a little.

So if James was born in 1888, like my grandpa, and it's 1900 when he and Rose run away, that makes him 12, which is a nice age for his mutation to manifest, yes?

And if Jean, in the movie is approx. 35 and the movie is set in oh, 2005 [i.e., the near future], that makes her my age [born in 1970], so not having any "greats" in between her and Logan would work, since I'd be making him my grandfather's age, or 113. <g>

Logan fights in WWI, comes to the notice of the Canadian government.

Guerlain began making and selling Shalimar in 1925.

Logan and Rose's son John was born in 1919.

Logan is "disappeared" in late 1932, early 1933. Rose finds out she's pregnant, gives birth to Jean's mother in summer/fall 1933.

Jean is born in 1970.
