Notes: This was going to be full-on Tess fic, but then I decided it said what I wanted to say in 100 words.

You hope it's just a job keeping Danny out till all hours. You've given up everything for him, fallen into this crazy life, and you thought you knew all his secrets. Now you realize there's one he's never mentioned, because it was never a secret.

He never stumbles in apologetically. He's always got a smile and kiss for you when he comes home, no matter how late; you've never suspected him of cheating, though cheating is what he does best.

But you see the way he is with Rusty, and you realize he has been cheating, just not on you.
