Vic's Band Resume

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band - 4 times (*squee!*)- it doesn't get much better than this. Ever.

Loverboy - this is embarrassing - we only went because the Hooters were opening...

The Hooters - my brother used to see them everywhere in the area...

U2 - 2 times... transcendant - Zoo TV was beyond words. 5 rows from the top of Giants' Stadium in the rain.

Lone Justice - they opened for U2 on Joshua Tree - I think they got booed, sadly enough.

The Replacements - and they knew all the words!

Johnny Thunders

The Rolling Stones

Living Colour - 2 times

The Sugarcubes

PiL - Johnny Rotten knows how to work a crowd... "Anger is an energy"

New Order

Sinéad O'Connor - an amazing singer

John Wesley Harding

The Violent Femmes - eighth row, baby! At the Beacon. Gordon kicks ass live.

The Soup Dragons

INXS

Alison Moyet

The La's

Elvis Costello - another show in the pouring rain, and totally worth it...

Butthole Surfers

Rollins Band

Jane's Addiction - they sucked when I saw 'em. Perry couldn't remember the words to "Jane Says"

Nine Inch Nails - 2 times - sigh... Trent... I was in the pit at the first Lollapalooza. Awesome.

The Cure

Sting

Concrete Blonde - I love Johnette's voice

Guns'n'Roses - Bah - Axl is a putz. Kept us waiting two hours in the rain. Metallica were so much better.

Metallica - 2 times - they are excellent in concert. Nothing like 50,000 people singing "Seek and Destroy."

Van Halen - the Sammy Hagar incarnation, but still...

Pearl Jam - twice... first, in the pouring rain on Randall's Island - totally worth the soaking (have you noticed a pattern here? <g>) and then at MSG, where they rocked out.

Ben Harper

Matthew Sweet - 2 times - so good live... so good

Sugar - twice!

Smashing Pumpkins - the only show I was ever tempted to walk out on. All feedback. Bleh.

Foo Fighters

Rush - don't ask...

Bob Dylan

Van Morrison

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - finally! I finally saw 'em after so many years. I dig TP and the HB's

Lucinda Williams

Bob Mould - 2 times -- Bob rocks out in concert. I highly recommend seeing him.

Counting Crows - 2 times - first time, Adam was a putz, but they did a beautiful version of "Anna Begins" which is my all-time favorite CC song. Second time, he was in love, so he was much happier, and it was a great show - they did "Thunder Road" in the middle of "Rain King" - excellent...

Live - who knew Ed [however you spell it] could be so sexy? But oh my, he certainly was...

Depeche Mode - 15 years too late. No "Shake the Disease," no "Question of Lust," no "Just Can't Get Enough." "Personal Jesus" rocked, though. Goosebumps for that one...

Poe - surprisingly good...
