If you know his secret, you may think it's difficult for Remus Lupin to conjure up a happy memory in order to cast a Patronus.

After all, having to live his life under the curse of excruciating monthly transformations is a horrible burden, a death to all but the most fleeting happiness.

You couldn't be more wrong.

Remus casts his mind back to second year, when Sirius and James confronted him about his secret.

Their promises to never abandon or betray him filled him with joy, then and now.

With such a happy memory, the spell is easy.

"Expecto Patronum!"
