Ripper, fierce Ripper, is gentle with the book; his fingers on it are deft but reverent. Ethan watches, entranced, as his lover works feverishly to translate the mysterious text.

"Rites of Chaos," is all Ripper's said. He's been writing for seven hours straight, and his hand must be cramping something fierce. Still, he's smiling, an arcane, rapt smile. His gaze is transfixed, and his arm wraps round the volume possessively as he works.

Ethan's latest plan to keep Ripper amused--a smash hit.

Yet Ethan feels strange, even a little scared. Ripper's eyes never quite shine like that for him.
