Jean turned the shower up as hot as it would go and forced herself to endure the scalding temperature as she scrubbed
at her skin, trying to eradicate all trace of Logan from her body. From her soul.

She knew it was a wasted effort, knew she'd never feel clean again.

"What was I thinking?" she wailed. "And how will I ever face Scott again?"

She knew that the only question he'd ask her was why. Why had she done it? Why had she slept with him? Even
she couldn't say.

"Dammit!" she screamed, "he's not even a good lay!"
