“Do you really think that we can trust him anymore? Everything has changed.”
Finding resolution within herself, Storm glared at Cyclops. “Gambit is the same man he was before we learned of this event in his past. How can you not see that? I do not intend to treat him differently. Justice has already been addressed; we do not need to punish him further. ”
Kneading his forehead, Cyclops considered his friend.
“Loyalty, my friend, we are about loyalty.” Making her way out of his office, Storm left him with that thought.
“Never has anybody given me so much trouble,” he thought. “On the other hand, he has fought hard for the X-men. Perhaps I should allow him to rejoin the team.”
<Quit arguing with yourself, Scott.>
Reaching out with his mind, Scott responded to his wife. <Stop reading my thoughts Jean.>
<Too bad; you´re projecting too much and I´m trying to go to sleep. Use that intuition you have, Scott. Vague as it may be, it will give you an answer.>
<Why can´t you just tell me what to do?>
<X-men don´t take the easy way out, dear.>
<You´re my wife, you´re supposed to help me, but how many times have you helped…?> “Zero,” he muttered out loud when he sense his wife´s retreat from his mind.
Arguing a bit more with himself, Scott reached a decision. “Boat house, he can live in the boat house.” Clearing his mind of his hesitations, Cyclops went out to search for Gambit to invited him back to the team.”
