Four female vamps surround Buffy.

"Jack of Hearts. Eight of Spades.

"Queen of Spades to you. Eight of Hearts."

Buffy dusts one; one scratches Buffy's arm.

"Ten of Clubs. Ace of Hearts."

A figure moves in the darkness behind Buffy.

"Win or lose. Live or die. Whatcha got?"

"Jack of Diamonds. Two pair."

A bolt from the shadows, dusting a vamp. Buffy takes down the others.

"The Joker, three eights."

"Nuts!"

Xander steps into the light - crossbow in hand.
